My name is Cornelia de Brabander, born on
the 10th of January 1953 (Capricorn!) in Scheveningen a town near Den Haag.
I lived there for several years and than I moved to Den Haag (The Hague).
I have been always creative and I was always good in
doing needlework.
When I was only five years old, I was knitting and sewing
doll clothes.
Around the age of twelth I made complete outfits for
a doll like Barbie.
After finishing school I did a lot with drawing and painting.
In my spare time I make my own clothing and I do a lot
of other form of creativity.
Like origami, making X-mas Cards, even designing and making homepages, embroidery etc..
Everything I want to make, I make. And if I cannot make
it, than I'll try it.
In 1990 I took the initiative to make teddy bears.
I always loved teddy bears and I also collect them.
The first four teddy bears were made out of a old coat
and the pattern was one of a cotton teddy bear out of a magazine.
And yes, the development went very quick.
Soon after those four bears I started to design my teddy
bears.
Not only teddy bears, but other animals too.
Sometimes I also make large teddy bears.
But I prefer to make mini bears. The results
I can see sooner :-)
Besides making teddy bears and being creative, I also
love reading, drawing and computers.
